New Labor documentary on the 9 to 5 movement
A new PBS documentary premieres on February 1st about the 9 to 5 movement which inspired the famous film starring Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton, and Lily Tomlin.
The film, directed by the same filmmakers of the documentary American Factory, explores the labor movement that inspired the film, starting from women organizing office workers in Boston, Massachusetts in the 1970’s, to organizing women in the workplace around the US, to organizing unions through the SEIU, the film includes interviews with the lead organizers of the 9 to 5 Movement and Jane Fonda.
The film premieres on Monday, February 1st on PBS and available to stream on the PBS Video app.
